The Town and Country Planning Association have published guidance on ways garden cities and garden suburbs like Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire can continue to develop and thrive. The Garden City movement of the 1920s, led by Ebenezer Howard, was a pioneering attempt to establish sustainable settlements a century before the concept became mainstream.
